1. Note 3 - One of the most confusing part of the HTSUS code is Note 3. The verbiage below can be very confusing, but what it actually means is that "products described in additional U.S. note 3 to section VI" are NOT listed in the Chemical Appendix!

So in the example below, if a compound that falls into this HTS classification is NOT listed in the Chemical Appendix then it is a  "products described in additional U.S. note 3 to section VI" HTS classification is 2918.29.6500

The term "products described in additional U.S. note 3 to section VI" refers to any product not listed in the Chemical Appendix to the Tariff Schedule.
